Fort Collins, Colorado

Scoops! is a small yet vibrant ice cream shop made of three shipping containers. The industrial vibes are offset by the use of fun colors, different patterns, and exciting textures.

The building is oriented on the brownfield site to make the most of the sun’s energy. Large south-facing windows let in ample amounts of natural daylight, while LED lamps provide artificial light when needed. Indoor air quality benefits from zero VOC Natura paint and an operable garage door, which lets fresh air cycle through the building when the weather allows. Recycled and recyclable finishes – the LVT, glass countertops, and recycled plastic furniture – allow the client to make environmentally responsible choices.
